BIOGRAPHY

Ann Bremner is a freelance editor, writer, and arts professional based in Columbus, Ohio. She earned BA and MA degrees in history of art from The Ohio State University and retired as the publications editor of the university’s Wexner Center for the Arts, a multidisciplinary contemporary arts center, in 2013. She has contributed essays to numerous Wexner Center catalogs and brochures, as well as to local and regional magazines and newspapers and to publications by the Columbus Museum of Art, the Society for Contemporary Craft (Pittsburgh), Ohio State’s Urban Arts Space, and SPACES (a contemporary art space in Cleveland). Recent editorial work includes projects for the Seattle Art Museum and the American Academy in Rome. Other professional activities include organizing and coordinating exhibitions and teaching at Ohio State, Capital University, Otterbein University, and Wright State University. Bremner has received an Ohio Arts Council Aid to Individual Artists Fellowship in criticism and the Greater Columbus Arts Council’s Arts Partner Award.
